We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery
This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and is made voluntarily despite the company being below the revenue threshold obligated to make such.
As a UK-based developer of financial modelling software and provider of consultancy to the life insurance industry, Software Alliance develops, licences and supports our own products.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, human rights violations and child labour and are committed to acting responsibly in all our operations to ensure that these practices do not exist in our business or supply chain.
Due to the nature of our business and that our services and supply chain are not complex, we believe the risk of human trafficking and modern slavery in the supply chain is very low. We procure a limited range of services through our supply chain - primarily Professional & Specialist Consultants linked to our core activity. Our supply partners are required to warrant that they shall comply and will use their best endeavours to ensure that any subcontractor or party within their own supply chain shall at all times comply with the requirements of the Act.
A number of our suppliers will have turnovers which trigger a requirement to comply with the obligation to produce a Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement under the Act. In any event we actively encourage all of our suppliers notwithstanding the contents of the Act to ensure that they comply with the spirit and intent of the Act.
We have a stable supply chain allowing us to benefit from a significant number of long-standing trading relationships with likeminded Subcontractors, Suppliers and Consultants who share our values and ethics.
We are committed to conducting our business in an ethical manner and the company policies set out our stance against modern slavery and underpin our commitment to operating with integrity; these policies include, but are not limited to due diligence, equal opportunities, anti-discrimination and harassment and whistleblowing.
Software Alliance will continue to build upon its existing efforts to combat modern slavery and trafficking across its operations and supply chain and commit to reviewing our approach annually to ensure it’s effectiveness. It has been approved by the Board of Directors.
